Grafton’s town common has been the center of town since it was laid out in 1728, framed today by the Federal-style Grafton Inn, the Greek Revival Congregational Church and the Italianate Unitarian Church that all still stand around it. The common’s granite-post fence and surrounding homes give the center a well-preserved, 19th-century feel.
